Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domain names remained active.

Through our company, you can register your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to edit the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific regulations on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
